Have you ever thought to yourself "Should I be smoking cigarettes?" The answer is NO ... it's bad for you health, it causes pollution for our planet, and it's bad for people in your surroundings.
Smoking cigarettes is definitely terrible for your health. If you smoke, you WILL get cancer, and you don't want that to happen. Smoking will also make you less smart and can hurt your ability to do your job successfully if your lungs are damaged. Furthermore, smoking can damage your memory, and you will not be able to have a conversation with anybody. All in all, smoking will destroy your body.
Smoking also causes pollution, and pollution is very bad. If you smoke, you will speed up the progress of air pollution. Air pollution will eventually cause you, your family and your friends to die. Do you want that? When you smoke, the chemicals in cigarettes go up into the gases in the atmosphere. This weakens the atmosphere so more heat comes in. If people keep smoking, people will die.
Lastly, smoking is terrible for the people surrounding the smoker. Once when I was five, I was walking on the street and someone was smoking. When I walked by him, his cigarette gave me a burn! The worst thing is that cigarette smoke can kill newborns! Secondhand smoke is unfair to all the people who chose not to smoke.
In conclusion, smoking is bad for your health, it causes pollution to the environment, and it is terrible for the surrounding people. It really should be illegal.
