Fractions on a Number Line:
Play Find Grampy. In this awesome game, Grandpa is playing his favorite game, Hide and Seek. You need to find Grampy by naming the fractional part of the number line that he is hiding behind. The game tells you the denominator (that is, the number of parts the number line is divided into.) You need to figure out the numerator (that is where Grampy is hiding.) Good luck!
If you are feeling really bold and want even more of a challenge, after playing Find Grampy for a while, you can try Find Grammy. Grandma is more difficult to find.
Play the Brainpop game "Number Line Battleship." Try the fractions level. Can you sink the subs by dropping missiles on the hidden vessels? You'll need to estimate the placement of fractions on the number line. (The second level is very challenging! The number line goes from 0 to 2 ... meaning 1 whole is at the middle half-way point.)
MathMan: Fractions on a Number Line - This is a mathematical version of PacMan. Read the directions carefully and eat the ghosts that match the fraction marked on the number line on the bottom right corner of the screen.
