Meet our Robot-Art!

Picture
The students created artistic robot sculptures using recycled objects.  As they planned their robots, they considered both the aesthetics and the functional purposes of their robots' designs.

Robot’s Name: Fire Puncher 685
Robot Creator’s Name: Alijah

Hi!  My name is Fire Puncher 685 because I have a red fist and I punch.  My job is to teach kids karate.  I teach karate so they can make peace.  I have a secret.  I am a superhero.  My superhero name is Fire Blaster because I can shoot fire out of my hands.  I can also fly by blasting fire out of my feet.  I live on a planet name Fire.  My planet has soda bars.  It also has a karate stadium.  It has a pet store, and the pets are all dragons.  I have a dragon.  I named him Spikey because he has spikes down his back and all over his arms and legs and wings.  I am 26 years old, and at my house is a secret lab.  It has all these cool potions.  I have a secret code.  It is _--_==|||+|]][_---_.  I am smart, and a mad genius.  My suit is black.  It has fiery designs and my name on it.  I have a cape that is fire.  I have another secret.  I am actually half dragon and half robot.  When I am in my dragon form, I have crystals on my arms, legs, and all down my back.  When I am angry, I become a fiery monster.

Hiya, I am G.P.H.  My name stands for Great Police Helper.  My job is to help police.  One time, I fought P.G.E. which stands for Police’s Great Enemy.  My best friend G.P.H.U.B.F. can combine us together, so we become T.U.P.H.  Then we can fly to outer space.  When I was in high school, I didn’t have great powers.  I just drank Superpower Juice at college.  I live in Robotville.  There are lot of robots there.  I work in Policeville.

Robot’s Name: Sammy

He plays rough, but he can also see things from miles away.  I live in a police station.  At my station, we have a Super Vision Machine, so I can see criminals anywhere.  That’s me, Sammy!

Hi boys and girls!  I am a digger robot.  I dig very deep and very fast.  In fact, I dig deeper than any other digger in the world.  I can make big or small holes.  I can find lots of things in the holes.  I have one hand to dig.  My other hand rests.  I have a lot of work to do!  My favorite thing to do is … digging!  My favorite tool is a shovel.  I also like to rest a lot, because I have to work so hard.

Robot’s Name: Minerva 3000
Robot Creator’s Name: Catherine

Hi boys and girls! My name is Miverva 3000.  I am a robot that was designed to fight.  You might think that I won’t be helpful in a war when you look at me.  But I am very useful. People call me to help and respect me. They say, “That robot is small but mighty!” That certainly describes me! I hold a shield on my right, and a spear on my left. I have and on and off switch, and when you push on, the switch pad disappears and a control pad appears.  Just click on the thing you want me to do, and I will do it!  I am a very strong and brave little robot.  I am very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very often called to battle.  RRRRIIIIINNNNGGGGG!!!!!!!!  BBEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPP!!!!!!!  Oh, bye-bye!  I have to go to battle!

Robot’s Name: Fish Catcher 7,300
Robot Creator’s Name: Colin

I can catch 2,000 fish in one scoop.  I can fly over the water to catch the fish, because I have wings to fly.  When I see a fish, I rush straight to that fish so I can catch it.  I have four eyes that can see VERY well.  I live in the pond, so I can catch the fish.  My head looks like a hammerhead.  I have plenty of spares to help fix some of my pieces.

Robot’s Name: Marine Charlene Crystele
Robot Creator’s Name: Cynari

Hi, my name is Marine Charlene Crystele.  I work as a student teacher robot.  My job is really fun.  I am 28 years old.  My buddy Cynari invented me.  At school, I help other kids of course.  I am the real teacher’s assistant.  A student teacher is a teacher who studies to be a real teacher.  I have clear lipstick.  (Shhh. It is glue, but don’t tell anyone.)  Cynari’s nickname is Wildflower.  My nickname is Maraline Marbaline.  I love to help kids.  When it was my first day in Class 344, a publishing party was coming.  My buddy Cynari was absent for a lot of days.  Her brain had to work like it never worked before, since everyone was done except Cynari.  Cynari had to write a first time story with a picture of her first time doing something … touching a bee!  It was a first time, glow and grow, picture making, crazy, coo-coo, publishing party!  Bye, back to class, see you next time!

Robot’s Name: Spokey

Hi! I am a robot to help people with what they need to do.  Like I’ve helped people make a video game. I can really do anything.  I am a boy.  I am a super hero.  I have a huge jackhammer.  But that isn’t all, I can tell you one more thing about my powers.  I can shoot cones.

Robot’s Name: Athena Mercea
Robot Creator’s Name: Lara

Hi children!  I am Athena Mercea.  I am 13 years old.  I lived in the Medieval times.  My parents wanted me to be strong, so my name is Athena.   My sister is a robot too, and her creator is a gal named Catherine.  She is a fighting robot, so I don’t have to fight.  So, I am an actress, and I always hold my favorite video camera.  I am in movies about Medieval time, and I shoot the movies with my two brothers Philip and Mason.  They were knights who fought in the Medieval wars, but now they work with me.  Oh!  And I was born from the sea, I had no outfits, so I wear my hair.
Picture

Robot’s Name: Lily
Robot Creator’s Name: Lauren

Hi, my name is Lily.  I’m one of the top models in the world.  I am perfect at modeling.  I like to be the best I cam be.  I love my job so, so much!  So, back to basics.  I have a secret to tell you about my necklaces.  I suck numbers in with my necklaces to do math. It is so cool because I love math and modeling.  And it was even cooler when I was being built! I live in California.  I just moved from New Jersey.  Well, I’m off to the stage.  Bye!  Love you!
Picture

Robots Name: Super-Saver-Spider
Robot Creator’s Name: Leo

If you are about to fall in the river, I’m there to catch you before you touch one drop of water.  Also, if you’re falling from a building or a cliff, I will be there to save you.  Why?  Because I have the longest legs in the universe.  I will always save people until my life is done, because I am the Super-Saver-Spider!  The puffy things on top of my head are antennas.  I am seven years old, and I am quite big to be a robot spider.
Picture

Robot’s Name: Fishy-Wishy
Robot Creator’s Name: Linnea

Hi, don’t you think my T.V. is fancy?  I have a T.V. to see if there are fish so I can catch the most fish every day.  But excuse me, I haven’t introduced myself yet.  I’m Fishy-Wishy Robot and I like to fish, obviously.  Check out my boat, that has a T.V. in it!  My boat is perfect for me!  That T.V. isn’t for watching cartoons.  It tells me where there is the most fish.  Salmon, tuna, swordfish, I like these the most.  But I don’t fish for lobster.  Those claws are scary, even for a robot like me!

Robot’s Name: Krissy A.
Robot Creator’s Name: Mia

Hi. Of course you know my name.  It is up there. I am a teenager, like 18 years old.  The A in my name is for art, that’s my job! You do not need to know my creator’s name.  It’s up there too.   I’m a joker, but not like in Batman, no, no, no! I have a tail.  And don’t judge me for it, I’m how I am.  I’ve said too much, did I?  Sorry!  I hope I see you again.  Bye!

Robot’s Name: The Super Motor Boat
Robot Creator’s Name: Polina

Hello.  I am a boat.  I am very friendly.  I am special because at the end of me, I have a bell.  I have lots of colors.  I even have a colorful mouth.  I live in Italy on a lake.  I love doing robot dances.  I love my life here as a robot.

Robot’s Name: Lola B. Micly
Robot Creator’s Name: Rowan

Hi. My name is Lola.  I carry people around the sky.  Sometimes I carry kids.  I like to play with the kids when I carry them.  Once I played with a little girl.  I met a little boy and his sister too.  You’ll never believe that my wings can flap!  When birds go by, I flap and I a scare them away.  See my beautiful carpet inside?  If you come for a ride, you’ll see how soft and cushy it is.  You shouldn’t touch my off button or I’ll go kaboom! Right onto the land!  Don’t fear, that’s never happened yet.  I am always smiling because I’m always happy to play with my passengers.
