Chelsea Prep College Fair, March 11, 2011
We had a fabulous college fair this year at Chelsea Prep. At the college fair assembly, George did an amazing job representing our class when he went on stage to ask the keynote speak, Professor Christopher Emdin, a question. George had so much poise, and we were all really proud of him! The students in our class did a great job learning all about Princeton through group research. Then they wrote up short reports about what they learned. Each of their paragraphs reported on a fact based on a number. We prepared our display board with flaps. The students' writing is on the inside, and their number is on the outside. At the college fair, viewers could choose a number, lift the flap, and then learn interesting facts about Princeton. For example, under the "3" flap, you will learn that the third astronaut to walk on the moon was a Princeton graduate, and he left a Princeton flag on the moon! We also decorated our classroom door for the school door-decorating contest. Boy were we thrilled and surprised on Friday afternoon when Mrs. Lindy announced over the PA system that our class had won first place!
