Patricia Polacco Book Movies by Class 344
As the culminating project for our author study, the students explored how to sound like storytellers by paying attention to several key components of fluency: phrasing, punctuation, pace, pitch, volume, and dialogue. Each pair of students chose a book by Patricia Polacco to practice reading. Finally, the students recorded themselves reading that book. They photographed the pages in the book, and then worked with Mrs. Zimmerman to turn their recording into a book movie similar to the movies featured on Reading Rainbow. We hope you enjoy our book movies!
