School Supplies List, 2013-2014 G&T Third Grade

Dear Families,
I look forward to an amazing year with your child next year! I hope this school supply list will help us begin the new school year with a running start. While I realize that it isn’t always possible to have the supplies ready for the first day of school, I ask that your child bring in his/her supplies by Monday, September 8th. I realize that this is a lot for your child to carry to school, so you can bring supplies to the school ahead of time if you prefer. You can drop supplies off at school on September 2 and September 3 between 8:30 and 3:00. Some of these supply items will also be distributed for use with the science teacher and art teacher. (For example, the science teacher requires a notebook, folder, pack of pencils, and roll of paper towels per child. I will allocate those materials from the general supply you send in.) If you have any questions about the supply list or about anything else, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. You can send me an email via the "Contact Mrs. Zimmerman" link.
Warm regards,
Alycia Zimmerman

Quart or Gallon size box of Ziploc bags
1 pack of permanent markers (Sharpies)
(All classroom donations are thoroughly appreciated. You'd be shocked at how quickly we go through paper towels and tissues!)
* Extra Technology Items:
Either a laptop/tablet (see the related webpage about B.Y.O.D.) OR a flash drive:
To facilitate audio work on the classroom computers and laptops, it would be great if each student had his/her own pair of headphones. These can be labeled and kept in a Ziploc bag in his/her cubby. Personal headphones are a good idea for preventative sanitary measures. The headphones can be of any variety, but please only send in inexpensive headphones. (Sample children's headphones.)
