344 Literary Review
The students in our class wrote compelling book reviews about their favorite books. While they wrote, they worked to keep their audience in mind. The reviewers took on friendly, conversational voices for their reviews. When the reviews were completed, we decided to film the reviews to share as "Book Talk Movies." The book talks on the Reading Rainbow television program (formerly on PBS) served as our inspiration. The students created cue cards for their reviews and practiced delivering their reviews with expression, clarity, and a lot of personality. Students took turns helping to direct the filming of each others' reviews, and Mrs. Zimmerman helped with the final film editing. We hope you enjoy watching our Book Talk Movies and that they make you want to pick up a book and read!
