Geometric Solids Chart
I created this chart to use with a lesson in which I introduce geometric solids to my students. First I model how to use the chart with the cube, which we do as a class. I divide the students into heterogenous groups of 3 or 4. Each group gets a few geometric solid blocks of a single type of solid. After five minutes, the groups pass their blocks clockwise. The students will examine all 7 remaining solids with 7 rotations. Finally, we share their findings as we complete a class chart. This allows me to assess their understanding and clear up any misconceptions or questions.
