Metropolitan Museum of Art Field Trip Information

What: The third grade will take a guided tour of the Metropolitan Museum of Art with a focus on artwork from communities around the world. This topic corresponds to our social studies curriculum about communities around the world. On the tour, the students will view works of art from different communities from Asia, Africa, and Europe. The trip is free of charge.
Who: Ms. Myung’s and Mrs. Zimmerman’s classes; each class can take three parent chaperones. Parent chaperones will be chosen on a first come, first served basis, and your child’s teacher will confirm if you will be able to chaperone.
When: Thursday, May 13; We will leave school promptly at 9:00 am in order to make it to the museum in time for our 10:00 tour. Please send your child to school on time. Chaperones, please meet us in the lobby of the school by 8:55. We will return to school by about 2:00.
Where: The Metropolitan Museum of Art, 1000 Fifth Avenue at 81st Street
Transportation: We will take the subway to and from the museum.
Lunch: Your child may bring a bagged lunch from home. If you would like a school lunch for your child, please check the box on the permission slip.
