Silk Painting Photos
The students in class 344 spent several months studying about the geography, history, and culture of China. As part of the unit, the students got to try a traditional Chinese art form: silk painting. The students first sketched a design for their silk. Then they traced their design onto their silk hoops using a gutta resist. Finally, the students blended silk dies to create the colors they wanted while they painted their silk using authentic bamboo paintbrushes. Check out their beautiful creations below!
